Street Fighter V

matsuokaito
So Street Fighter V has been out for a couple of days now. Has anybody picked it up? What do we think of it so far? I'm liking it so far; it's been a while since I've been able to lose myself in a game for several hours and to be enjoying it while I do so! The downside is that it's offline modes are a tad bare. I'm hoping the March update fixes that.

Ask me again in about 4-6 months when we get more content.

I don't understand the "Lack of Content" argument. It's a fighting game; they're hardly known for their excessive amounts of content at the best of times. With an online mode for punch-kicking people around the world, offline vs for sofa style punch-kicking, training mode to practice punch-kicking, and an offline mode for punch-kicking the CPU it seems like all the bases are covered. Story mode is a bit short, yes, and an arcade mode would be a bonus, but as I said the basics are all there.

And I don't understand how this can be considered a full game at this time. It is currently 2016 and we have to wait months before we get everything that should have been put onto the disk/digital game. It's because it's so bare bones that people are upset. Not everyone plays online, I myself am more of an offline fighter, so the lack of content really hurts my opinion of this game. Story mode is lacking, where's the arcade mode (it's a fighting game, how can you not have an arcade mode), training and survival get boring after a while, and why can't we have all the characters now instead of months down the road as dlc? Not to mention you can't have any matches versus the CPU for fun or to practice or whatever. This is far from a complete game and to call this the basics is insulting to those that have paid the full price for a half completed game.
