100 push-ups 100 sit ups 100 squats EVERY DAY (I have asthma and I'm really busy so I'm still working in the 10km run... don't judge me...)

@Penna: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/rnThjFsK6yw/hqdefault.jpg But on a more serious note, I know I should do something like walking to help stay in shape but the last thing I want to do between shift hours is get up and move around some more. Like at least one other person has said, it takes determination both to start and to stick with it.

I switched from a physical job to a desk job 7 years ago and got out of a impending marriage and stewed in depression and laziness a while. I puffed up so fast I got stretch marks so I decided to change it. In 10 months I have gone from 275 to 215 at 5'11" I wore it evenly and did not notice. It been slower now as I am trading fat for muscle since I restarted weight training and lighter. I just started to fix the diet than walked with a backpack of books 3-5 days a week 2 miles up and down the local hills. I had a gym membership but getting rid of it as I have collected cheap and freebie weights to train at home. I also jog in place or do calisthenics when listening to streams. If I do not have to be in front of the screen I am moving around some to spend as many calories a day as I can. I am in tech so I work on a PC ~14 hours a day so I get creative to exercise. Curl weights while watching vids. I bought a nice wireless headset for work phone/voip/cell all-in-one so I walk laps around my cubicle quad when on long conference calls and do not need my PC at work too. I'm a neko, we scrounge. =^_^=

I don't really go to the gym or anything but I do play a lot of DDR / ITG / Stepmania, which is more than good enough for my cardio at least. Occasionally I get into running too, as long as I have some good music I actually find it enjoyable. I guess my tip there is good music... makes me go harder xD. I'm considering a marathon, or at least half one.

I need to get back to the gym. Haven't really had the time unfortunately. Maybe I'll just pick up running.

I work out five times per week. Do I go to the gym, though? No. I have a treadmill, barbell, dumbbells, etc, at home and I alternate between strength and cardio. What keeps me motivated? Improving myself and making it fun! Usually, I find cardio boring, but since I have gotten a fitbit, I find it more interesting. You get badges for completing a certain number of steps, stairs, etc, and you can challenge your friends with fitbits. Also, the Zombies! Run app is a lot of fun to help keep you motivated. :) I'm not generally into zombies, but it is amusing pretending to be chased. Not to mention, following a women's fitness forum and seeing those ladies deadlift 400 pounds is pretty damn inspiring, too.
