I live in Houston, and have never been to a con. I guess this would be a good place to start!

-w- a-kon is a great convention to go to in terms of panels and entertainment. Socially.... it depends on the type of human you are.

I'm a very social loner, so I can fit in anywhere! I"m used to hanging within all types of groups. I should put this on my calendar so I remember. Maybe join back up with the Houston Anime Group on Meetup, then I am sure I will not forget.

@mostsocialhermit that's good! you would have fun at a convention then. there are many many opportunities for a person like you at a convention as long as you're polite and modest about it ^u^ -w- im too much of a socially awkward person so i am always too nervous to talk to humans...I mainly pet animals i see at conventions and junk. and go to panels

Pet animals? Do you mean the furries? Lol Lemme tell you guys that A-kon is one of the best conventions to go to. I prefer A-kon to SDCC, highly recommended:)
