Bisexual going on Pansexual

Well I guess I'm just asking advice on the topic in itself I've been told there is no such thing as Pansexuality, that theres only straight, homo, and bi. The terms in themselves annoy me. I just want to get the fact straight that I want to date a human being. I just want someone to be in a relationship that understands an otaku no matter what gender. Male, female, transgendered, etc... What term would I have to use when someone asks me what sexuality I am.

As I have been told Bi means you are attracted to men and women, but not transgendered. Pansexuals believe what I have always said that you fall in love with a person and not a gender. So, if you believe the same that would make you pansexual and not Bi.
