Your Japan vs Actual Japan

JP high schoolers (male) 16 looking like they 30. And twin tails actually exist

I was in Japan last month. The backgrounds in anime like buildings, streets etc are pretty accurate. I find it strange that SA and PA don't show up too much in anime even though they are pretty important. Onsen is a lot less crazy irl. :D

Not that I expected Japan to be like in anime or anything, I did think of certain stereotypes such as the vending machine thing, and shops being everywhere. I thought all of that stuff was over exaggerated but it wasn't. As far as the people, they seemed pretty normal, I didn't talk to too many Japanese people though.

Droves of gothic lolita schoolgirls, used panty vending machines and tech shops. Ok, not really but I did love hearing about those things the most.

0o oh dear I still can't belive that the train problem was so bad they needed women only carriages. aside from that I would really like to go to Ikebukuro I hear great things about that place.

I had a great time. It's my pet octopus who was a bit disappointed for some reason..
