To me this is like half anime facebook and half "animemeet.com" but I'm only about a week into this place myself. I hope that you do find someone (hell maybe I will?)

the amount of "just here for friends" is amazing here @.@ it's supposed to be a dating site lol find lovers and get married people xD i haven't been active enough to have much luck yet, though i did meet one of my best friends through here about three years ago :3

Lol. I bet those who said 'just here for friends' are mostly females. Theres a reason for that you see. Women especially otakus who grew up with shoujo fantasies dont plunge right away to the dating scene or relationship. They want to start as friends first. See if the other party can compare to their 2d hubby/crushes. Lol. Just kidding.seriously, they dont only focus on having that partner in life, they also want to meet new people. If they find that person, great! If not, then it is fine. Somebody noted here that remotely interesting girls would shut themselves off often because of some, treating them like a filet of mignon. This is one factor why most would use the "just here for friends" to fend away those who are too...straightforward with the dating thing. To not violate this thread, I shall answer the posted question.lol. My answer is No I havent.

I've been to talking to this girl who lives on the other side of the planet, everyday for about two weeks now I think. Is it gonna work out? Who knows mabye if she wants it to. All I know is that patience is your best friend.

Some sound advice there, Sei Rei and Super Franky. I understand wanting to make friends first. That's pretty much what relationships are built on in my view. I started talking to a girl a few years ago and we seemed to get along. (See the link in this post for detail on that). But since I don't see her online or hear from her much I decided she's probably not interested and it's best that I look for someone else.

Getting friend zoned sucks but just being ignored is worse in my opinion. Just gotta keep trying Broham.
