Hell fckn yea I would. It's known that hotness is equal to the level of crazy. The more gorgeous the more bat $#!+ crazy. I've said it before that everyone's crazy some just hide it better than others. So dating someone comfortable in their own skin instead of a fake (way too much is those nowadays) is always a plus

Bad history and emotional back ground does not equal comfortable with themselves. In fact, most people who have a very messed up background or are emotionally unstable, they aren't usually all that comfortable or happy with themselves. But, all that in mind, it's not healthy to seek out people based upon solely these kinds of things. Everyone has some sort of hang up, but it's how they handle themselves that matters. In short, I have, but not because of their past history or emotional condition, instead it's been because of how they handle their life. These kinds of things don't have to define an individual, they only make a part of who they are.

I've dated a person with a jaded past and/or emotional troubles.
I am also that person people date with a jaded past and/or emotional troubles.

I honestly think it'd be difficult obviously but, I'm a difficult person and I deal with myself every day (hard as that can be sometimes) so I don't see why not.

To me, someone who shows strength in not getting dominated by their bad history/emotional backgrounds, and who obtains unique views through those experiences is very attractive. I would, and prefer dating people like that.
I'm volunteering as a peer counselor at my college to support students with mental problems/emotional crisis. Even though I enjoy doing it, Iād say that I can't really appreciate people who fall into self-pity or lack in-depth thought while facing issues. For those people, I can only be their counselor, not their girlfriend.
On the other hand, I wouldn't try to be a counselor to the people I date, but would simply love them and overlook whatever background they have.

For me, I'd be willing to date someone with emotional problems such as dealing with lingering regrets, family deaths ,forms of abuse, or some special case as long as they can put effort in getting past the self-pity stage of these problems. These are the types of emotional problems that are understandable to have to me because I've had them, then gotten through them as most people have or will to an extent.

I don't care. If you're willing to cooperate and stuff. Why not.

I think it depends on what the person's motives are for being with you really.
