Dangan Ronpa 2 is one of my 5 favorite games of all time. Worth the Vita alone.

Most use my vita has had in years is when I don't wanna stop playing fallout when I go to the loo XD System itself is a good bit of hardware, but software wise it's pretty dull, good for jrpgs but lacking in both 1st and 3rd party support outside of japan.

I'm iffy about the Vita, I got one a few years ago. The market now for games is pretty good for jrpgs. I would definitely look at Sony's intensions on the future of the platform before buying one.

I'm probably going to be getting one as well. The games I have been looking at getting are: Sword Art Online:Hollow Fragment and Lost Song Steins;Gate Persona 4 Disgaea 4 Freedom Wars World of Final Fantasy (When it comes out next year) Attack on Titan (Again, when it comes out next year) That Vocaloid game (I forgot the name) These games seemed relatively good to me. I'm not really sure of your tastes so I'm not sure what kinds of games you would like.

Vita was one of the best investment I ever made, from work to travel, psn allows you to dl your videos, I would recommend two memory cards one for media and another for games. In terms of games the have a ton of dynasty warrior clones. Ive always been a fan fan of dynasty/ samurai warriors, the naruto version is super fun. But I fall back to the impressive catalogues of square, snk, capcom, and Sega titles that for under $10 per game isn't to shabby! I'm turning 30 this month and will say the games from my youth readily accessible via my vita is worth the consideration. Oh I've gotten mine second hand and the oled screen touch responses are instant the battery life is better than expected. Sorry to fall off in to a tangent. So yes the vita dope get one!

I got one for Christmas with Borderlands 2(with all DLC), and a 8gb card. I love mine but the only thing you have to watch out for is the memory card. Apparently, Vita memory cards have a 50/50 chance of working. The higher up the card, more of a chance it won't work. Basically what happened with mine is it was working perfectly fine and all of a sudden it corrupted all my data(I always saved and turned it off properly so it had nothing to do with me). I sent it back to Sony thinking it was my system not working correctly and they sent another one back. The card still didn't work and the screen on this one didn't work. Now I have to send it back again and get ANOTHER system with a new card this time. I even tried to reformat it and it wouldn't do that. Now, I have a PSTV for a while and that works pretty good! I still recommend the system because it has amazing games but just pray that you get a good card.

Best Vita game and the one with the highest play-time value is unquestionably Persona 4: Golden. It's the reason most people buy the handheld. It's why I did, and it was worth it. Dangan Ronpa 2 is also quite good.

I have a 32gb Vita memory card that is currently full, but I've had is since April 2012 when I bought my system and I finally filled it up last year. Unfortunately, still one of the major detractors to the Vita are those damn proprietary memory cards STILL being too expensive to this day. No reason a 32gb card should be $60 this day and age of how cheap flash memory is, proprietary or not. As far as the original OP's question goes, I still think it's worth getting a Vita as long as you understand a few things and are okay with them: - Understand going forward you won't be getting any more major first party support from Sony. No more Killzone, God of War, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, Uncharted, etc. Other than what's currently been released on the platform. - The main games the system is currently getting right now are a lot of localized JRPGs and other titles from Japan from a small group of dedicated third party publishers like XSEED Games, NIS America, Atlus, Aksys Games, etc. The system is also getting a lot decent support on PSN from the indie side of things, which tend to lend pretty well to a portable gaming device anyways. The list of retail games getting released is pretty small, but PSN still isn't bad on it. Finally getting Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC has been a great addition to it's library and the like as well. Not to mention free PS+ games every month if you have an active account. - The other main draw is the streaming of PS4 content if you have one. This to me is almost as much a selling feature for the system now then the handful of games the system is getting. I think if you go into getting a Vita understanding these things, it's still a great portable system to have for it's existing library as well as what handful of smaller stuff is still releasing for it. My only major criticism is how expensive the memory cards are, but beyond that, it's still a pretty solid system overall imo. I still prefer 3DS when we're talking dedicated portables, but I still play my Vita from time to time.
