Ok, so I got into this convo with a few buddies of mine. Here was the general question: When dating, does your spouse have to have a certain amount of intelligence? This convo got brought up, due to my last ex. She had alot of book smarts, but lacked in common sense and street smarts. Do you think that IQ has to do with love? Or can you date someone smarter/slower than you? Me personally, I dont care how smart you are, but I do require common sense lol.

That depends on your taste. Some appreciate an intelligent and smart wife while others love them as stupid as possible, the qualities you require from a dating partner are entirely up to you. Personally I appreciate intelligence, it's not everything but it's nice.

Agreed! I love an good convo, but I realizE, that not everyone is uber smart, so I can't get mad lol. It is what it is I guess.

how i measure it: i dont care if you know what the capital of japan is improptu, what counts is if you have a means of finding out if i really need it from you id also rather have a person who knows more about life related things than things that have nothing to do with it like even if you know every particle about the moon... but you cant fix a bad light bulb or a broken door knob well geez... im just simple

Common sense I guess matters more to me than pure intelligence, but thats really generalizing things. I guess I kind of look at it like rednightmare, looks at it, she put it pretty well. I'd rather have a person who knows more about life related things, than someone who doesnt, but can name the periodic table by heart. :)
