@neko: I'm pretty cynical and jaded myself, but I think you have to be if you wanna work with people in these organizations. There's always going to be hardships generated from either the clients or the agency itself, but if you don't accept what you can and can't do, you'll just be even more miserable in the end. There's a difficult balance between remaining somewhat optimistic while not being naive; the cold hard facts are that life is shitty, and not everyone is going to be happy in the end. I wish I could sent Rambo over to fix the world's problems, but the U.S. military is closest thing we got to that, and we all know how that usually works out. Rant over, can I have another truth?

@blood&icecream: Yeah, but the military never seems to much in places like Africa for example. Shit pisses me off. They just fucked up everything in the middle east. Saddam Hussein was a bad man but at least he maintained a limited amount of stability, now even worse people are in control and shit is covering the fan...
