Anyone see the lunar eclipse?

desu
It was pretty disappointing, tbh. It was the same moon as usual, but it looked a little more spherical than the flat moon it usually looks like. It was also sorta reddish. It's already started de-eclipsing by now, but the only 'super' part about this supermoon is how disappointing it was. 3.4/10, would not eclipse again.

Yep. Not only that but being full and so low in the sky made it look huge as hell. Ahh... imagine... Humans walked on that. Wonder what a blood moon looks like on the moon...
mariahaise
It looks exactly the same just that one half of the moon turns reddish. I don't think the color would be really noticeable there either since we saw a rather small moon so the color is obviously more composed. Since you're there in this case the color would be like a slight tint of brown or something. Or so I guess.

I managed to see it for about a minute or so when coming back from the store

It was alright .. I'd rather watch an aurora! <(^_^)> Maybe one day .. http://img00.deviantart.net/4c38/i/2012/362/a/8/northern_lights_by_cutereaper-d5olxui.png

By my understanding the auroras have to be on the strong tip to be seen around these here parts.

@Jinsei Chikusho! .. Jinsei always dashing my hopes T____T.

Daijoubu daro. Oh don't get me wrong. There's instances when auroras have been seen as far south as Dallas.
mariahaise
I agree on auroras
