At least the KC area is a pretty good place for conventions :3 we get two annually, soon to be three (if you're a fan of yaoi, lol)

Hi! I'm from... well, near KC. About a third of the way from there to Jeff City. So not really that near, from the point of view of someone actually in the city. But I always forget that there's a second convention in addition to Naka-Kon! Unless you're talking about the convention the Jackson County fairgrounds sometimes hold, in which case I totally remembered it and just didn't go <_< I find yaoi enjoyable and/or entertaining, depending on my mood and the quality of the work, but I probably wouldn't go to an entire convention for it unless I was escorting my yaoi-obsessed semi-best friend. It's not that I think I wouldn't enjoy it, but it doesn't seem worth the cost of going there and getting tickets in for three days of a specific genre. So which of the conventions do you all tend to attend?

Sorry for double-posting, but it seems everybody in this thread stopped posting in it and I was wondering if anyone in the area (be it Kansas City, or the UCM area where I am, or even the State Fair College area) was here looking to eventually date. That is why I joined the site, even though it ended up being worthwhile for platonic online hanging-out. Speaking of UCM, I'm a long-time (now, as of this spring, unofficial) member of the UCM Anime Club, which is a thing that does exist. It's currently in summer hiatus, but if you go to UCM or live in Warrensburg, we may have met. (I understand if y'all in KC think I'm far enough away to start a separate thread.)

hey guys, i lost this post for a bit because there wasn't anyone posting for a while, but there are a few of us after all ^^ There is actually a lot of otaku in Kansas City, just not on this site =/ Is there anyone who might be attending Naka-kon? Maybe we could set up a little gathering XD keep bumping this thread guys ^^ We'll get more attention.
