Have you ever gone to a con in hopes of meeting someone?

If I go to cons it is for the con. You never know when a connection can be made but that is just sad if that is a goal. I would rather hang out as a fellow cosplayer and enjoy the event stress free. Que sera sera.... One of my GFs cosplays not anime but sci-fi/American comics or works as a booth model sometimes. She sometimes hooks up at an event but rarely and it is usually a girl. She dates more women than men these days and has the perfect rebuke to pricks that literally (more often than I thought) say they want to fuck her while she is working an event: She grabs one of her 'less attractive' girl friends in her troupe and tells the guy he can fuck her but she and her friend get to fuck him 'with Ronaldo too'. He of course thinking he has won an orgy asks 'who is Ronaldo' to which she answers 'My 12" strap-on dildo' and the girls both smile with evil glee as he slimes away.

I mainly go to a con as a photographer so I interact with people so much. My main focus is gathering as many pics and video to show off the community at the area and be professional at it. I don't focus on trying to find that one girl at cons. I go to people, get photos and vids, and let them loose because I don't want to waste more of their time to enjoy the convention. Main reason at cons, to enjoy the it and make it more worthwhile to mamy cosplayers.

I would like to start going to Cons at some point, and when I do I certainly wouldn't mind if I DID meet someone, though I would try to manage my priorities and expectations.

I would like to go to con if there is one in my area. If by chance I meet girls I'm interested in, I would approach them and ask for email or numbers. I'm not going to go further than that. I'm just trying to see if I feel happy talking with them. Main event come first after that anime girls hunt. I be very embarrass but who care about it. It's better to be proactive rather than being inactive.

I go to cons to meet people, yesss! There's a ton of meetup promises (and friendly "dates") to keep, for sure! Cons are a time for fun! Make the most of them, I say!

I've not really tried and yes they have Speed-dating events but it's always like 30 guys to like 7 girls so it's not really a good way to go about it.

What 7 girls out of 30 guys? That is pretty much a scam. Is not even out and the event organizer can just arrange their staff to act as a participatory.

I mean there will be like thirty guys in line, but only about 7 girls waiting to go in too. The staff though usually don't cause they have to work so it tends to be awkward.

I mean they can pretend since you don't know how many staff is in there unless you can get them like you. Other than that will waste money. When you went there any success?
