A gift show my appreciation if you want it.

Hello all. Even though I have only been here a very short while the therapeutic qualities that I have found in using this site warrant some giving back. One of my hobbies is DIY screen printing and I started up a FLCL t-shirt project. There are a couple different designs I'm looking at but we can get to those when we get to them. The first design is Canti from the manga. Later tonight hopefully I will post a picture of how it turns out. I only have around 10 white t-shirts right now. Unfortunately most of those are V-neck (personally I only think they look good on girls) and are all men's medium. If people show interest then I will try requests for different colors. But keep in mind that I only use black and white ink. I will make a shirt for anyone that wants one for FREE but please take into account that I am self employed with little financial breathing room because of the costs of a storefront. So I might have to save a bit for other shirts/shipping costs. This might be odd to everyone here but it took me 29 years to find the personal benefits of conversing through a keyboard. The number of people that I can openly talk to face to face is very small so chatting on this forum has been like discovering a secret language I can actually speak while stuck in a foreign country. But even if nobody wants one, truly, thanks

I'm gonna try to put pictures of the process up. At the very least someone might like to see that. Hopefully it works. First drawing

I don't really get it, but it looks cool https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/9d/8e/75/9d8e75dcb86496a091a0426846715ae9.jpg

Silk screen? Whoa cool. Always wanted to take up that, but never did. Can't wait to see the end result!

Step two. Inking. (This is an unnecessary step in DIY screen printing.)

It is much simpler than you would expect and you can get everything you need besides the material to print on for around $30 to $40. And that will last a good while too. I can give full step by step instructions if people are interested in the process or would like to try it themselves.

I used to make patches and stuff for bands mostly but I also did some that were my own design. Like so...

Ok, I will start another thread for it. It would be neat if people made their own alongside me as I work on mine. Playing long distance arts and crafts, yay!
