@cero Actually lethal injection has been proved to be a far worse death than shooting. It is also less effective. A doctor is not allowed to be on site due to the Hippocratic Oath of never harming a patient. This is also why a United States trained medical physician is not allowed legally to assist in humane sucide or mercy killing. That forces the jail's untrained staff to administer the drugs necessary for stopping the heart. More often than not they fail to inject the right amount properly or into the right body part causing agonizing pain.
