Double Standards

I've actually worked with a couple of lawyers down on cases of rape against men (we won most of them, yay!) and also in support groups for spousal abuse for all genders. It's actually why I'm such a huge feminist. When hyper-masculinity is so engrained into our society, it's not just women who are hurt in this kind of environment. It's anyone who doesn't fit into this exaggerated image of "real guys" or "alpha male"

if I were a guy I would hate the fact it would be socially unacceptable to wear heals or makeup. Like I think people want their face to look better and to be taller regardless of gender. @xueli I'm really glad to hear that its always bothered me the way male victims of any abuse at the hand of women are looked at like its a joke. Its devastating to the victim and condescending to women as if they're frail lesser beings that can't cause any harm.
