Lol Attack on titan was pretty gory, every single episode left me on the edge of my seat with cliffhangers too! I'll have to check the others out sometime soon. Hellsing was along the same lines concerning gore and storyline depth

Welcome to the site dude. For me it's kind of hard to pin a favorite anime, cause I enjoy watching so many during my free time. I think my favorites would have to be Project K or Samurai Champloo

Samurai Champloo was great! I wish they'd have continued it in some way. Rorouni Kenshin(Samurai X) was a similar experience. Describe project k in ten words? I haven't seen Rin before and gory might be an underscore to describe aot but with a lack of a better word and the image of the main character watching his mom get eaten by a titan, hearing her bones crunch and body get torn in half... well yeah it's kind of gory lol. I think I've heard or seen Rin mentioned somewhere before. Is it on a whole different level? I mentioned Hellsing above but it was.
