What is the 1st anime you watched that turned you into an Otaku??

Sword Art Online definitely. That anime was the first to introduce me to anime and actually get me into it, not to mention it's the first time I could say I actually cried over an anime.

For me it was Oh My Goddess series that made me into otaku. My first anime was Dragon Ball I watched as a kid but I didn't know it was a anime back then ^_^

As most i started with Pokemon and DBZ back in the day, unknowest that they were actually called anime. Then when i found out the term for these shows, i delved deeper into it and my first 3 anime i watched together were: 3x3 eyes, Elfen Lied, Naruto (first season) After that i was as hooked as a fish and didnt mind being dragged in ^^

I believe it was Naruto that truly started me down the road of being an otaku. I had watched Pokemon, DBZ and Sailor Moon but never really thought much of it. When it came to Naruto, I collected the manga, watched the anime, even had my own headband. After that I discovered more anime and it all went downhill from there.
