Your Political Philosophy

I would like to see an amendment passed which would call for more qualifications to be president or in congress. If you are going to make decisions involving economics, environment, education, etc. you should be educated in it and cough up a form of certificate that says you know your shit. Furthermore, and this usually ticks people off, if we are to separate church and the government then, let's do that----Jesus loves you, we get it, you don't have to pretend you went to church regularly before election season. ***elaboration on the qualifications. I think they need to specialize in something. Political science degrees would have a purpose if the president was required to have a masters or PhD in poli-sci. My point being they need to be experts. The smartest people I've ever met worked at a colleges and universities. They could run shit better than most the people in power. It's became a corporate funded popularity contest, like you all have been saying. I say get rid of super pacs to start.

I am a centrist so the whole world is against me these days; perfect. Some things I am more conservative or liberal on. Lefties call me right-winger, right-wingers call me a left-winger. Neither can ever bring a logical argument why that is, just hate and sound bites. I have never voted a straight party ticket nor will I ever. I actually look at my choices carefully and go with my gut. Sometimes the voting is worthless attitude really pisses me off. Last election only 36% voted and there were national seats up for grabs. People think for some reason presidents are the only voting season that matters. The very vocal minority is sending the silent majority down the drain. Most politicians are more dumb than devious following skewed think tank stats and the big money lobbyists because often that's all they hear constantly. When they know their boss (us) is actually paying attention and we start punishing them they become suddenly productive. Use your vote while you have it and start cleaning out all incumbents(all parties) and demand term limits of the newbies or make sure they are a one hit wonders next election. Please use the pen before it has to be the sword.
