Parents' Favorite Songs/Artists

There are a lot of threads about MO users favorite music, but what about our parents' favorite music? My father liked a lot of music, but since he's dead, I can't say for certain what his "favorite songs were". But I know he liked Eric Clapton's version of "Cocaine" (I saw him play it) and really liked Joe Walsh's "Life's Been Good". My mother has told me several times that Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young's "Our House" is her favorite song of all time, and sings along when it comes on the radio. My grandfather loves Charlie Chaplin's "Smile", and is happy that it was Michael Jackson's favorite song too. My uncle gave me a love of the Beatles, and has often stated that he loves John Lennon's solo album "Walls and Bridges".

Love "Cocaine"... Though the first song I learned to play was "Sunshine of your Love". Same basic shuffle... My parents listen to a pretty wide range of stuff. Everything from Yanni to E-40. I guess of note would be the Disco/R&B classics of the 70s/80s. Parliaments P-Funk. My dad introduced me to Zeppelin. A date that will live in infamy.

Never knew my father since he died when I was young, so can't speak for him; my mother says he liked German stuff. My mother likes seemingly random stuff; we mostly like the same stuff from 70's - upwards. Your parents sound cool, too xD
