@inexpensitivity, yeah, depends on the situation. I was speaking generally. I cringe though thinking of girls passing out at parties even if they know some people. Drunk guys can be very unpredictable and are way more likely to only think with their dick.
inexpensitivity
yeah it just sucks that rape victims have to hear that from other people too because after their assaulted thats probably all they think about, like "why did i have to be so stupid and walk this way", "why did i have to get so drunk, why didn't i bring a friend" etc. like it's their mental trauma that people will jump on and add to what they already know, and just make it worse and make them feel more at fault. by telling them that its still victim blaming in a way. when in reality by no reason it was their fault.

Manny is arguing an irrelevant point, and saying insults are a sign of lack of appreciating one. But early in the topic he flung around a few insults himself. White Knight. I'd say Ragna is right. No one deserves to be raped, or publicly shamed. (Well, sometimes shaming is fair,-like catching your significant other cheating with pictures or something) BUT it is a part of society. Like it was said earlier. Blood in the water, sharks will come. Based off instinct. But all in all, it's the internet. There's a block button. If you can't deal with the loads of people trYing to hook up with you, use the block. If it's something someone keeps trying, quit being so forgiving. In TC's edit, she says she could easily delete the pics that are racey. My advice; do it. You'd probably save yourself a lifetime of annoyance. Anonymity pretty much guarantees anyone attracted to you without the slightest bit of self control will certainly approach you with intentions other than being friends only.

@inexpensitivity as I have said anyone can be raped it's really on a case-by-case basis because not all rapists think alike so you can't generalize that clothes have nothing to do with regards to rape some like it pure, clothed etc some like it skimpy. I referred to more skin-revealing as to "catalysts" because more skin exposure might mean to SOME rapists temptation. Not necessarily an invitation on the victim's end but on the rapist's end. Living your life freely "YOLO"-ing while ignoring the potential consequences is just fucking dumb and naive. Like it or not you're not the only person in this world who has semi-free-will and there are bad people. All I'm saying is if you want to be atleast a bit on the safe side attract less attention. that's it. I didn't really intend to blame the victim here. If you were raped I won't say oh it's your fault blah blah blah. All I'm saying is, since I'm assuming nobody has been raped yet here, you could possibly be safer with less attention.

Heh... it's funny how much this devolved into personal attacks because "My emotions!Someone stirred MY emotions! " and then everyone finally starts to agree on the obvious.... There are ass holes in this world, millions, literally millions of them. Sure, you can do you all day long and live in your bubble of personal rights/views, but at the end of the day someone will not give two shits. We are animals, we go on instinct. I think the shark analogy works perfectly. Sharks won't just eat based on "Because it's instinct.", they still have to be hungry and you have to be a bit more interesting than a log to them. Sure, if someone wants to rape you bad enough, it doesn't matter what you wear or do, but one can not be so naive as to think they can dress any way they want and not get certain kinds of attention. Does anyone deserve to get raped? Nope. Is rape a heinous and detestable crime? Yup. But, don't act like doing certain things, dressing certain ways or talking certain ways won't attract more negative attention. Rape is never the victims fault, but there are ways to be smart and try to prevent things. It all just boils down to prevention and how to go about it.

Got damn this escalated quickly.. Drama Drama Drama... At the end of the day no one ever said Sota should delete her pics or deserves to be harassed. We all agree on that. Shaming people is wrong we all agree on that. I am big on non-bullying. I talk at elementary schools about bullying all the and its impacts. The main point here is Sota is not incompetent. None of you are. Otakus are pretty smart. Everyone on this earth loves attention! Everyone! Good bad or indifferent we all want to be noticed. That's why people post pics or say things they say. I believe Sota hit her quota of attention and now she wants the bad attention(nudes and ransoms hitting on her) to go away. But it doesn't work like that. Once you put yourself out for attention you are out there. So she must decide do i want to keep weaving through the attention I get? Or do I want to close down the shop? That decision is hers. But all this women's rights and name calling and slut shaming yal took this conversation left and right and used it for your own agenda!
