On the United States

Check your sources before you go at it. I could say a lot about your use of the Joker slow clap gif, but you're obviously not taking anything I say seriously. I'm not looking for a fight, rather, I hope I can inspire others who dislike the US that they ARE NOT wrong because of how they feel and that they can leave, that it is OK to do so. People are deceived so much, its time I came along and counteract some of the poison they're fed. You see, the media is a disease, and the discussions by intellectuals like me? We're the cure, and immunity.

Let me correct you on some misunderstandings, if you don't believe this country has done anything for you then just leave now. Forget the education you are getting, you won't need it. "It's American" since you are Buddhist/ atheist = which makes as much sense as a jewish pagan. Here let me educate you. ISIL is nothing new they are a pretty much a group that formed from various groups that were already existing, one of which was the remnants of al quida. Tanẓīm Qaʻidat al-Jihad fī Bilād al-Rāfidayn, Mujahideen Shura Council, ad-Dawlah al-ʻIraq al-Islāmiyah and you get the picture, and that's just 10yrs... If you trace them all the way back you can trace it to the First Barbary War in the battle of Tripoli where the old marines of yesteryear fought against them for the first time. We had no problems with them what so ever, they although had taken many of the US hostage and pirated and held them for ransom, Thomas Jefferson was given a letter directly from their leader for ransom if not they would be beheaded, what was their justification? Easy their God stated they can slay infidels. You see? even if we don't do anything to them they will pillage other nations and hold people for ransom regardless. So, tell me how we don't have an obligation or a reason to fight there? If we didn't they'd eventually come get us as they have done for a few thousand years to Europe. The Moores in Spain and the silk road were overrun with them, taking many Europeans hostage and beheading them if ransom was not paid. Again if you believe strongly in the US being a nasty place, why even further your education in this inhospitable place? Wouldn't it rot your Buddhist atheist mind? Who cares how many countries you've been to, I will tell you I've been to many where even saying the crap you did will get you beheaded. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wiBwQ9fiho this is what they teach kids there doesn't that seem like the hitler youth? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yYwxty930g These are the same IED's that they plant on military, may it be their kids or the adults they don't care. So yeah. =x

> If you don't believe this country has done anything for you then just leave now. Forget the education you are getting, you won't need it. I do need my education. I am taking what I can from this country before I leave - its the least it owes me for deceiving me. >Again if you believe strongly in the US being a nasty place, why even further your education in this inhospitable place? Wouldn't it rot your Buddhist atheist mind? Because I can't get citizenship elsewhere without a degree. If you think I learn anything at college, that would pretty much be false. I'm going for the piece of paper stating I have a four year degree - nothing more. > I will tell you I've been to many where even saying the crap you did will get you beheaded. I've had credible threats of violence for what I say in my everyday life. That's little different from a police state - the fact that the police isn't on my side with any of it just reinforces my point. There is no freedom of speech here, otherwise Private Manning would not be in prison right now, and Snowden wouldn't have to hold up in Russia. Tell me, do you have the blood of people on your hands? Have you shot anyone with the M4 that you've been trained to use? Has your CO ever ordered you to kill indiscriminately. Do you not feel compassion for the noncombatants of war? If your answer to the majority of that is no - then we have nothing more to say to each other.

@ Zen I want to jump in here because I don't see this "intellectual" (?) debate going anywhere. Tell me how do you show your superior intellect (?) by making a thread that will be seen as a hate thread? You are not debating, for you are unwilling to accept other people's views. You attempt to change other people's minds/opinions, but are unable to do so because you come off as a petulant child venting instead of communicating. Also the fact you had to write that you are an "intellectual" comes right off the bat as narcissistic. In all the posts you have written, and expressed how much "fighting" you have done in your life, and the fact you have needed psychiatric help explains a lot of your way of expressing yourself. Also being a buddhist and an atheist is impossible, please go back and read the definition of atheism if you please. If you believe in something of a higher power, or another life, or even reincarnation, then you are a buddhist, if you do not believe in everything in said theist belief then you are agnostic. As for buddhism not having a supreme being or god, nirvana was not created by "magic" or enlightenment. It is where the enlightened go, thus beings superior to humans exist, thus atheism gets denied. Now on to the thread itself, I do agree with you that people who are over patriotic exist. People who are uninformed and who have little to no culture believe their country is the greatest that has ever and will ever exist. HOWEVER the U.S.A. has many things other nations do not, so it is better than a lot of other countries. In many instances the U.S. will never be the best, too many problems and too large to ever fix everything. Also the lack of people wanting to fix the problems, and the few who try have no support from the masses. Money talks and is the most important thing for most of the population but that is because it is a corporate country. And just so you know, China has committed mass murder with its own people in the past, and it was not known to most of the world until years later because they kept their information as tight as possible so the world would not know. So guess what? bad things happen over there too. The U.S. despite all its problems, is a country with more stability than many others, better economy than many others as well, and it gives you the opportunity to grow in many ways. On the darker side like most nations on this planet, religious zealots exist (china has had these guys too), racism is alive and well (guess what it happens everywhere), insecurity happens everywhere as well. There is no nation with 0 insecurity, for the exception of 2 countries I think one being Vatican City and ... can't remember the other one that is an organization also considered a country. Outside of those 2 yup, sorry but bad things can happen as long as you are breathing. On the hating on the soldiers, well guess what war fucks with peoples brains and psyche. The more death you cause or see, especially losing friends in front of you, the more you will break down. The soldiers are a tool of the higher ups, they control many things including objectives but they don't always control how the soldiers will act. Some disobey others obey, and others get out of hand. Which can't be controlled by the guys half the world away from them. So trying to judge someone on something you have no experience or knowledge of, would be against your "intellectual" self wouldn't you say? (If you do say you have experience and knowledge and then please give me your military records I would love to read it) And lastly, you can hate the U.S. you can hate/despise any other religion or nation in the world. You are free to do so, after all you are a human being with your own way of thinking. But please at least if you are going to attempt to have a discussion online, be open to try and see the points of views of other people. You can ignore the zealots and the uninformed, that type of person will never listen to reason, or other points of views. Which right now seems to be you. You are young, you have problems, you are dealing with them, and you are just creating fights to vent. Kudos On a side note I am not from the states and I also dislike many things from there, but I have lived there, and there are plenty of good things, opportunities to be had (your education for example), there are good people too who are accepting and open to other beliefs (I am agnostic), and you can at least try to find something you love because it has an abundance in resources that many other nations lack(careers and professions that other nations lack). Maybe if you put your mind out of trying to find things to rage against, you tried looking at things you might enjoy from the country. Then maybe JUST MAYBE you might get "enlightened". Also buddhist do not openly try to provoke fights (even online ones) or do they? How they got resources, is for the history books which if you had any clue, nations and names change but history just repeats itself. To end it all, Have a nice day :) (what a long post heh)

First of all this country doesn't owe you nothing, especially because you disregard it the way you do. Secondly you might as well get your refund, because it is clear to me you have not learn a single thing in college. You don't need a degree to get a citizenship elsewhere I know because my parents have dual citizenships elsewhere, none have degrees. Now go on, you don't need to be a hypocrite and use the federal financial aid to pay for your school, nor our bad educational system to rot your intellectual brain. Sorry you lost me at "buddist/atheist" I am combat trained by the US Marine Corps, so your welcome. Thank you that you mentioned Snowden and Manning because I did big reports on them during one of my classes and I have enough knowledge about them. Either way they did show classcfied information that could have compromised the location of many of the soldiers, it could have compromised the mission objectives. Not only that but of many military families here at the homefront. So please don't give me a sob story about how bad it is over here, I don't care how many "WEEKS" under a US PASSPORT (meaning you're not a citizen there) you've been to different countries, because visiting and living are two different things. Now, under the UCMJ we are only able to follow lawful orders, we can decline to follow unlawful orders, there are rules of war that we follow. We don't just randomly shoot people. THough the enemies don't care and will attack because they aren't bound by UN conducts of war, or the UCMJ. Please, go home, you know not of which you speak of. SInce nothing is technically stopping you from leaving, I suggest you move to another country if you're not happy? PS no degree required to be a citizen elsewhere

Reisudo words ring true, UCMJ is a wonderful thing and is banged into your head early on your career, and in fact most area that our boys are in we are not aloud to shoot back they are shooting and blowing up OUR PEOPLE.. and we can not defend our-self.. think on that for a bit
