Where the heck did you get this info? Its WAY off! The first "Anime" was Katsudou Shashin in 1907. That's way more than 70 years.

Yeah, it's kind of off to say it's been exactly 70 years, if you count all the things that came before. XD Also, if you count manga... it's probably ancient. Besides, I see no point to having just one day to celebrate anime. Why not make it everyday? :D

I once read a book called the history of manga saying manga dates back over 1000 years. Those I read it a few years ago.
