Losing humanity

Sadly the younger generation is being taught less and less about respect and kindness. I work in child care and I still cannot believe how parents can let their children run thier lives or just let their children go without any form of discepline and I work in a church!!! I was bullied in school so I know what it feels like. Bullys are just out there and sometimes they just crave for blood. Why do you think in history, blood battles and animal fights were so popular???

I spent a lot of time in high school countering the stereotypes;"Otaku are weak at sports"?I ace sports."Otaku can't have romance"?I've dated one of the most popular girls at school,etc. I feel compelled to prove everyone wrong about the stereotypes,and my personal little crusade did pay off,to some degree. I agree with the two posters above about me,when they say that nobody teaches empathy and acceptance anymore. And Fullmetallove's post--->Music to my ears.

The problem is people see most of us as the "geeks" or "nerds" of current time I think back in the day it was someone with big glasses and who played d and d now it's those into anime and video games that aren't call of duty halo or madden. I'm sure it's also them seeing some one doing something they love and they can't have that because they aren't happy with their life or they feel they have to beat up someone to prove how manly they are. If I was there and one of them started at me or another person like that I would right there fighting with you. As long as they started it it's if I fight back it's self defense and the school would have to kick them out.
