yeah tbh im totally guilty of cutting off conversations after they hey whats up part because if you start a conversation with me and can't keep it going, im not making any effort to keep it going for ya. and i always make sure to give a detailed answer to whats up, and if you can't expand off that or your whats up is nothin much, then fuck off i dont need these shennanigans

The reason is because of:
inane conversation
the sudden appearance of a deal breaker
too much work
things getting serious with someone else
... and there are definitely lots of other reasons for someone to pull the same stunt. If you can rule out the first two, then it's best to just chalk it up to bad luck and move on.
