What's the worse job you ever had?

Oh ok that make sense

Working for a decrepit lawyer for a while was pretty irritating, she'd call me at any hour and tell me to help her with things. Treat me badly, remind me that she could easily just get a Mexican helper. I kind of wished she would. I was not having it.

I've only had one job so far, so its the worst by default... But Lumberjack. Me and my cousin went on his land to cut down trees, cut the tree into sections, load up, and then make firewood out of it, load up and load down at residentials and stores. Fun fact~ wood is heavy and dangerous, and chainsaws are just plain dangerous.

Working in a retail store called Value Village. Next to no safety regulations were followed, customers treated us poorly, policies in place made theft by anyone other than employees as easy as walking in, grabbing stuff, and walking out, crackheads and junkies were our regular clientele that we had to clean up after (while they stole), and eventually everyone got laid off, including me, because the company didn't want to pay the lease anymore. Fun fact: Value Village (known as Savers, elsewhere) treats employees like they're in a work camp, gives money to charities for donations (from the public, or the charity themselves), but nowhere near as much as their profits from selling said merchandise, and the system is the greediest of all underhanded companies selling themselves as "friendly" as they come :l Don't work for them.

So i was in desperate need of a job. So I filled in at this job cleaning restaurants. It pays by the restaurant and depends which. SO around 10pm when a certain restaurant would close thats when I would go in. But it paid by the restaurant this one paid $850 a month...not bad right? WRONG! That was for the whole crew. I had a crew of 3 so we each got $250 a month and it was 24/7...No days off. Against the law of course it was. The company would have you sign this thing that said you had 2 or 3 days off every week -_- Company also had alot of illegals working for them. The good thing is I had the whole place and time limit was when it opened ...sooo yeah I helped myself to some food ^-^ but the acid to clean the grease MAN that stuff eats skin too O.O Did that for 3 months Never again

Loading potato flake bags on pallets, temp job. Doesn't seem bad at first but keep in mind a 30lb bag is coming down a conveyor every 10 seconds and you are piling them over 6ft high, over and over again. I have no problem lifting 30lbs over my head, but try doing it 100+ times in a row. I did it for almost 3hrs and hurt so bad, even lifting them waist high was a monumental challenge. I had to quit. One of their best workers was a little Mexican guy, probably 5'6" or something. He almost had to jump to get the bags on the top. He just kept going and going.... 2nd worst was telemarketing. First program selling National Geographic books to magazine subscribers wasn't bad, though I once said "National Pornographic" to a woman but made a sale! lol! But the 2nd program, I had to ask people if they had kids and how old and try to sell them Christmas toys based on kids age. I felt like a creeper. 3rd job, the job itself wasn't bad but the company and management was horrid. Working for WalMart on night crew cleaning floors. I loved the floor scrubber, could almost fall asleep doing that. But every 6 months they would switch out our direct supervisors as soon as they figured out how to manage us properly they switched them out for someone that was clueless, did that regularly. WalMart style of management: Make sure nobody knows what the fuck they are doing, once they figure it out, move them to someplace else where they are clueless. Create a bonus system based on competition so that the afore mentioned managers fight with each other about how to manage what they are clueless about. Keep cutting bonuses for lowest tier workers because who cares, they are a dime a dozen, don't want anybody to work there long enough to get serious raises, if they do, find any way possible to fire them.
