For a start you need her spayed as if she does have kittens she can get pregnant again as soon as she has had them them. Also I'm alarmed that the vet does not know, I'd change vets. Have you wormed her? If she is eating a lot this could also well be the cause, if she does not like tablets crush one up in a tin of tuna. Look at her poo and see if you can see any visible signs of worms. Good luck.

I'm not being mean to you but you should not have a cat if your not prepared to at least spay her and if she has the kittens taking them TO a shelter is really not good pet ownership. the amount of people that dump unwanted kittens is rediculious. You have to think long term, say in 5 years time when the adult cats from your litter are unwanted and at a shelter they will be uthanised as shelters are so over populated. Please get her spayed or have her as an indoor cat only. It will only keep happening!
