@alanzuenduong A lot of people don't accept that they are overweight cuz they associate it with things that have nothing to do with being overweight. Some accept it and believe they have no control over it either. But yes, once people get to the point where they realize this isn't good and they do have control, they most likely take action.

Nono! Don't apologize! We're just talking I'm not offended and I don't want you to be either. I am healthy as a horse! I'm not very overweight but I'm not skinny, I do some physical activity but I don't work out.. I just mean to say, If one is unhappy with themselves that's one thing but if you're happy as you are that's as good as it gets no?
I just don't like the term "better yourself" Better how? for who? Who decides what the best is?

Not necessarily being slim or built, but @Mikorin, it is just as alan says: it does decrease the risk of cancer, diabetes, sleep apnea, puts less strain on your joins and lowers the risk of bone related diseases. For women, it is important to be at a proper weight before getting pregnant because being overweight means increase risk of gestational diabetes, your infant coming out being over weight or having diabetes.

That's the first time I heard of the first part haha. I assumed everyone knew they had control. Some later than others, but you don't know how admirable and how much courage it takes for an overweight person to step into a gym.

@mikorin I should apologize, some people will take it the wrong way and I somewhat meant it like that too. I won't judge someone if they're fat, but I will judge them if they can do something about it and isn't. It's like not beneficial whatsoever. Like smoking, but I digress

I'm completely pro choice, just to date id say a healthily skinny guy, being bigger doesn't mask a persons persona, idk this is a topic that makes me feel awkward and makes me feel like I'm offending someone right now so I'll just shut up

Thank you, unfortunately I've not read many of yours >.< and now I feel bad lol. I always hated it when people aren't productive or proactive with their problems. It's not just weight. It could be grades, sports, even hobbies. It'd weird because it's none ofu business, it's just my overall nature

Don't feel bad! If we can't talk openly here and be ourselves then where can we?

Seize really does not matter. My grandpa is big but not fat, but he is really healthy. I'm not joking at all. He gets up early in the morning and all he does is planting vegetables. What I'm saying is that seize does not matter. It only depends on their behavior and they should have a motivation of doing something instead of being lazy and slouch.
