Matches on maiotaku.

The hearts do nothing at the moment, they're up to speculation. Matches take a while for some people to show up, for some they never show. Even when they do show, they don't work very well. Unfortunately matches seem to work off an extremely limited criteria. I can't say I blame em though with a site that has such a small pool of users, but still it'd be nice to have more than variables.

It would be nicer if they had more questions to enter in the match up process. I know they do it by where you live, anime you have in comment and cons you have in comment. That is it. This site is more like some kind of social media for otakus made all by one wed developer/ software engineer. I know the pay part help keeps it on the server if the guy does not have his own server. Witch is very possible with the amount of traffic the site. He most be a skilled developer to put all this to gather. It could use some work here and there. Maybe this forum question would be under site update.

Yeah it'd be great if you could fill out some questionnaires like on okcupid, but again the amount of traffic this place gets really wouldn't warrant something like that. Even with the current system being as broad as it is, you're gonna end up with slim pickings. Filter things out any more and you might not even get any results.

The website where everything's made up and the hearts don't matter, just like the degree from an online university... Just doesn't matter.

I true question if anyone ever finds a match or even someone to hang with on the weekend on this site. I have been trying to meet people who would be for meeting up. It is hard to get people with the low traffic next to other sites. Not everyone goes on all the time. It is kind of sad and then it is hard to make friends with someone new already with the slow movement nothing ever big comes from it.

This need more Publicity, be more known... we all can do that in the con's And Other social sytes i think Xd

Ice-Cream Eater Tetra, I think there have been a few. so far in the time I've been here I've seen two pairs get hooked up. One got separated due to distance issues but seemed to really like eachother. The other two are planing on meeting up eventually. Also got a buddy with high standards that managed to find a girl he likes and gets along with well. I'd say there's hope for everyone.

xueli - I thought so as well. I will have a match that's high % and close by show up on best matches but on closest matches it's almost like it backwards, they are far away and lower %. (shrugs)
