I find this site to be kinda strange where you have to add someone as a friend b4 you can really talk to them, I usually like talking to someone b4 becoming friends. This prosses makes it annoying when you dont even know who you are adding(or am I just doing this wrong, I did just make my account o-o)

That's not necessarily true for everyone, it depends on how people have their privacy settings. Some people choose to allow anyone to comment, others only friends.
