Something I've noticed...

meister24
I'm actually pleasantly surprised I don't see anyone waving a religious scripture/hoisting a theological flag/shoving a thousand year old doctrine down people's throats here (where I am currently people are...fond of that sometimes). LGBT folks are still human even if you disagree with their orientation; don't see why they should be treated differently compared to those who are straight.

People here are pretty open minded so you aren't likely to that here, or it's rare.

*Starts waving religious scripture/shoving a thousand year old doctrine down peoples throats*... Hahaha, Sorry I had too, anyway onto the topic. The site is pretty open to everyone, We have a pretty good community here in my opinion. Me personally I don't care if a person wants to call themselves guy or girl, Live and let live I say, Not like it's hurting anyone afterall.

I am not sure what to think, I support anyone who wants to do things that make them happy. For me life is different, and I have a hard time understanding others. Though it still bothers me when suddenly my benign speech and words are offensive for no understandable reason. I have heard much about transsexuals but I am still not sure if I like this whole transgender thing. I will have to think on this and see what I come up with. Things just don't fit right, I can't seem to understand why they are coming from where they are coming from. I don't get why people feel so constrained by the words male or female, guy or girl. Maybe I am just too accepting of people? Maybe I love them for whoever they are too easily. I guess I just want them to love themselves just as much. But for someone to hate themselves and their bodies so much that they feel it necessary to change like that? I don't get that. Maybe I just don't understand the question yet. And yet, at the end of it all, I have this fear for the continuation of the human race. If we all do this, if we all end up wanting this, how do we keep it going? How do we not die out as a species? How do we make it to the stars and see what life is like on other planets and worlds. Or are we just hoping that we evolve soon enough to not have to worry? I feel like I could go on, but I will leave it here. I just needed some thinking space on this. Feel free to keep giving me input.

It's simple, some people feel like a female but are born with a male body or vice versa. Many chose to go through hormone therapy and sometimes surgery to switch their apparent gender as much as possible so they feel more comfortable with themselves. Some people are more "gender fluid" and don't feel like either gender completely. Some people are comfortable with who they are. Either way, our species are not in trouble (aside from general stupidity).

I think they've been popping up a lot all over the web a lot recently.

Maybe more people are feeling ok with being open about themselves?

Well, the LGBT movement is gaining steam at least in the US & EU. Venture into southeast Asia (or China *shudder*) though and you'll hear a very, very different spin on things...

I don't care what anybody is, hell, I fully support the glbtaf (other letters tbd).. Just be upfront with me if you're m->f and I like you. :/ ...cause then we will remain friends, nothing more.
