yeah, not sure what you mean by neck and neck though. if you mean quality, well it's pretty consistent. first ark was a bit dull though in my opinion compared to the second ark, but even that took a while to really get in gear and by the end was pretty cool. btw I just got in the first ep today of the new season, nice that it's back on.

yeah I figured. 2012 covered the first and second arks/chapters with the second ark making up the bulk of it. first ark was eps 1-9 with 10 -26 being the second ark. Then in 2014 they started doing the third ark. just saying, the first ark wasn't all 'that' great. it was okay but things didn't really get going till the second ark.

Xavier-kun, the beginning would be a good place to start. Just watch the 2012 series and avoid the horrible old OVA at all costs.

infamous? I think the only infamous thing about jojo is the horrible translation the manga got, which someone gave the 2012 anime as a joke. Are you sure you're not thinking of the word 'famous'?
