Yeah I guess that was late 90s. There is such a strong difference in early 90s and late 90s in music. There was a definitive line when it went from hairbands of the 80s. Early 90s was dirty and gritty, along with the grunge movement. Late 90s there seemed to be a lot of merging of pop and rock together.

Pretty sure the 90s was the emergence of trip hop as well. Portishead is so over looked and under loved.
