What's the story of your first anime?

watching dbz, yugioh, pokemon, bayblade, naruto etc on tv, but i really got into anime around jr high when i was surfing the web and i saw an add for "naruto shippuden" and i was like wtf is that, then i saw an add for bleach and then it all went from there

The moral of dbz was you could solve anything with a good punch in the face. And if you scream for 10 minutes your hair would go spiky and turn yellow.

I would catch DBZ with my brother sometimes and saw glimpses of Sailor Moon with my sisters. The story of my first manga was funnier. Fifth grade, this girl brought a Ranma 1/2 book to class and someone shouted HER BOOBS ARE SHOWING OMG SHES NAKED. Everyone wanted to borrow that book.

i wanna say inuyasha, but i had also watched sailor moon and case closed, i didint consider them an anime just a normal cartoon at the time. i feel inuyasha was my first because it was so diffrent it had weird names set in japans past and great characters ( while sailor moon and case closed had the openings and names changed) i got picked on a lot as a kid so after finding inuyasha i started acting like kagome by not taking shit and acting like inuyasha by kicking the bullys asses

Naruto.. But i hated naruto(still do) because of how much my friends talked about it before i got the chance to like it. Dbz was funny as hell to me lmao piccalo is mad ugly and mr.popo omg

Well, I trans versed from "cartoons" to anime when I was about 11. For some reason my first anime was Hayate the Combat Butler. Then I watched things I shouldn't have been watching at that age. Very bad things for a preteen.

First DBZ unfortunately. Then YuYu Hakusho, Pokemon, (coincidently) Digimon afterwords, original Mobile Suit Gundam, Fullmetal Alchemist(2003), Neon Genesis Evangelion, FLCL, Elfen Lied, Cowboy Bebop, and Ghost in the Shell. It should be noted when I first started watching anime i was young at the time so it through me off at what it showed, especialy the mature stuff.

Haha, it's funny that I can remember mine so well. I was in 7th grade. Youtube was brand new. And so I was looking through youtube's most popular stuff. And I clicked on Naruto episode 66-67 (yeah, I know the episode number.. I made tons of Naruto amv's) It was in Japanese. I didn't know what was going on. It was the ep. where Gaara and Sasuke were battling, and of course I had never seen this in my whole life.. So to me I was watching it and thinking, who's the bad guy? they both look pretty mean... Oh gah what just happened. He's bleeding. This is really creepy. and weird.. but the guy with the black hair looks really cool for some reason... AND SO I decided to try and draw him right then and there. And that is how it all started. For months I didn't know how to pronounce Naruto. YEP. That's right. DX

ALSO, a random thing: When my sister and I were young she liked Sailor Moon and I hated it. XD I was a tom boy and thought it was too girly, haha. But now, my sister doesn't like anime and tries to deny that she liked Sailor Moon and I love it.
