Personal Privacy?

Seems like a good idea jas! But I always wonder why people always suspect people online of being crazy vs irl. Someone could shoot, rob, stab me anytime when I'm walking home at night. On the internet, I don't have to worry about that.

People that bored to harass just anybody? So what have people done to you before? (leaving out your private details of course).

Also, many of our online activities effect our job and income. Personal communication with real friends and real family. I've had some ex boyfriend trojan up my girlfriends computer and check on her finances.. conveniently cut her Internet when we made plans, etc.. it took a toll on our relationship.

I'm sure if I posted all my info on 4chan and dared people that all sorts of crazy shit would happen. But I'm not trying to do that. I just know that privacy is mostly an illusion so it's pointless to be paranoid unless you have good personal reasons to expect things like that to happen, like past experiences and such.

Yeah. I mean, not trying to change your viewpoint. Just saying it doesn't hurt to bet on the safe side. Crazy shizz happens.

^I understand, I know of people that are very protective of their personal info because of past bullying/harassment and such. Like I know of people who take extra precautions because they were in a fire or people who always check their locks because they were robbed, etc.

Yes! When it happens to ya, It's always a good idea to be extra safe and just make sure on things so your reassured! Just in case you know! Precautionary measures!
