Would you date an asexual?

@saya I'm gonna respectfully disagree with the statement that asexual people don't get into relationship for romantic reasons or that romantic attraction means you're not asexual. Asexuality is defined as having no sexual attraction, or so little as to be none. But since I'm not a person who has personal experience since I'm not asexual, I'm gonna paraphrase/straight copy some stuff from the asexual visibility and education network: Can asexuals have successful romantic relationships with sexuals? Yes, successful mixed relationships do exist. Some of these relationships are completely sexless; in others, the asexual partner "compromises" by having sex occasionally under certain circumstances; in others, both partners experiment with pseudosexual behavior and find things that work for both of them. Why do asexuals want romantic relationships, anyway? Not all asexuals do want romantic relationships. Some asexuals want romantic relationships because they experience romantic attraction. These asexuals get crushes and fall in love just like romantic sexuals do, except without the desire for sex. http://www.asexuality.org/home/

I know a asexual and i dated her too but umm.. there is literally no real difference i mean she was my girlfriend we hugged and kiss (when she wasn't teasing me and saying no) but if i even joked about sex she'd instantly put me in the friend zone until i learned my lesson XD

As long as the person could cuddle atleast an have romantic feelings I don't mind not having intimacy like that with them all I'd care about is having someone there an having fun together even finding other activities out there which are many many to distract ourselves mostly its that emotional level that matters for me nothing more

I've dated Asexual's before, personally I find it problematic, I express my affection very... physically, I know it is selfish of me, but I would prefer to have someone sexually attracted to me as well as emotionally.

I have been called a sappy cheeze ball, and now I probably realise why. My answer: yes. I count myself among this type of person. Sure, I obviously like girls, I just have enough respect not to make them do something they don't want to do, even if I want to. This hasn't stopped me from being awsome though!

Being one myself, I find it rather hilarious that people think we don't feel any romantic emotions for our bf/gf, just because we don't care about sex. I'd say it is much more easier to tell the difference between love and lust, if your mind is not blinded by nature. We can see beauty in more important things than boobs/abs. xD

I am asexual myself so yes. That would work out quite well for me lol. :]

Honestly, I really have no idea. I've never dated an asexual person in my life - surprisingly most of the girls I've been with were bisexual or pansexual but I've dated a few straight girls too but never an asexual. I like sex a ton, let's not beat around the bush there but it isn't the biggest, most-defining part of a relationship in my opinion. I wouldn't mind giving it a go though but I get the feeling that the lack of sex might make it pretty boring after a while.

Hell yeah. If I like you, that's how it is. Whether or not you have the desire to be sexually active has no authority over that. ^-^
