I don't get why people act like its something to be ashamed of, I'm glad despite all the others who may dislike it, that you won't change just to please someone else. Hell, there are even things about anime I don't like, but I don't hide the fact I'm into it. It was influencial in my life as a child and something I still hold with me today. Just as I'm certain much of you feel the same. In fact, I know this girl who literally draws anime, use to watch it, but now thinks she is all grown up and mature and that people who like it should 'grow up'. How can you go to an art school, for a degree in Media and Entertainment, but then bash on people who loveanime and ponies. Whom she claims are all sick perverted phedopiles. I guess all the grown men who took their kids (girls and boys) to see Rainbow Rocks are digusting men. I just laugh at that nonsense.

Disney used to be the thing that brought every age, race and gender together. It didnt matter, their animated films were that good. I think the last one i saw with my family was either atlantis, treasure planet, or lilo and stitch. I did see the pirates of the carribian trilogy with the old man, but thats it. Pixar is good, but they should focus on making new stories than relying on sequels. Thats what made movies like toy story and finding nemo so good. They were ideas that were fresh and innovative, funny and charming. Dreamworks had shrek and maybe ice age? Im not crazy about the rest of the cg films they made, but meh. Despicable Me was groundbreaking. I can openly admit thats the best movie i saw that year. That wasnt made by either disnet or dreamworks, and heck even my brother in law liked it and hes usually a macho kind of guy. Point im making is if its good, age and stuff doesnt matter. Theres nothing to be ashamed of for liking it.
