War is profitable in a way. Hell, its how I'm earning money. I'm pretty sure it got us out the great depression too (I suck at history and such so I'm not 100% sure) Plus I know guys that work as mercs and they make a sh#t ton of money

Ok. you missed my point. The last 2 wars we fought put the US in a deficit that we have yet to clime out of, even after asking China to help us out. China owns 90% of the US' debt. the US pretty much is now the united states of China. We're borrowing money to borrow money to pay off debt.

I don't know, that's just what I hear. America always pays for helping foreign peoples. Right? Honestly I ain't too wise if it doesnt involve my MOS. Or general military subject No big deal.. Right?

That's the problem. Everyone hears shit but doesn't bother to find out what the facts are. Fact, the US owes Chine $1.2 TRILLION. And that's after China giving the US a discount 4 times. Wars cost money. Yeah, the soldiers get paid. but where does your money come from? as of now, CHINA.

Its above my pay grade to think about that shit. I get told by people who knows what they're talking about a lot.. Its just REALLY boring. Its hard to listen to a guy that talks only about politics

I agree. KC is just a soldier, so he follows orders. I'm a private citizen. I want my government to combat groups I find dangerous. I don't care how much money it costs or the debt. I want those guys killed.

The United States owing China 1.2 trillion dollars is actually more of a benefit than it is a problem. Think about it. The People's Republic of China is growing every day militarily, and is considered the third strongest military power in the world after the United States and the Russian Federation respectively. As such, the 1.2 trillion dollar debt is a hostage we can hold against China that we will NEVER be forced to pay. What's China going to do about it, start a war with us? China can't force us to pay our debts, therefore there is no debt that needs to be paid. So in the end, 1.2 trillion means nothing so long as we remain more powerful than them. Secondly, ISIS is not an organization to be taken for granted, they are much larger and stronger than Al-Qaeda ever was and have an estimated strength of over 100,000 militants in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. These terrorists are veterans of almost two decades of war, and know the terrain of the Middle East better than anyone. Also, they are equipped with stolen U.S. Technology such as the M1A1 Abrams MBT and modern firearms stolen from other countries. My opinion? It's too late to enter conflict with ISIS, we can only do what we are doing now and bomb strategic areas praying that ISIS will fall on its own. What we SHOULD have done was entered into the Syrian conflict ages ago, because ISIS gained much of its support from the Syrian conflict and as a result has grown into an uncontrollable hive that we left untouched for too long.
