The Tragedy Of Crime

I thought I would add this on here to see others thoughts and opinons. When you think of past criminals who have done things, do you think that the charges against them are proper punishment. Something I have noticed after looking over some stuff. It is my thoughts that punishment of criminals after the charges have been weighed in are more present then I would have liked to think. When looking into it, I see many of the people convicted of crimes having trouble getting jobs, housing, assistance, or just anything in general. In that state a good amount of them are pulled right back into what they did before. What is your opinion on this? Mine, A system such as that, is going against the very thing it originally was meant to do.

I think the question of whether or not our justice/legal system is right or not, because it's been repeatedly shown to not be right and an ineffective means of controlling/deterring crime. The question should be, what can we do to fix this? Though the obvious answer of entering into politics and trying to change things from the inside out is a little less than promising...
