The dragon's pretty cool. I relate b/c I'm only good at drawing creatures and background.
This is what I read from interweb on Secret to successful Japanese video game illustrators, manga artists, and others:
Copy the hell out of your favorite artist's works And observant to things around you.
Life drawing is also Ideal. Draw whatever objects are around your house as well as studying your favorite artists
If only I had a cyborg arm that could draw for me. Practicing is gonna take me a few years along w/ hand cramps, bumps, bruises and the like lol. Can you tell if someone is an artist just from looking at their hand?
@Neverland If you need some tutorials Draw a box has some great resources as well as proko and other books and youtube tutorials. Make sure it is focused on one fundamental at a time and from multiple resources so you get a richer slew of information
Thanks holmes. Yea, everytime I've tried to pick up drawing again, I concentrated on my weakness, which is to draw people. I think what works best for me is to just sit in public and draw strangers. I seem to be able to get the ratios and aspects of the unwittingly model much better than through a screen.
Finished this one today
Part of the bottle project. Rough penciling. Again feedback desired.
