The raven haired boy sat alone on the edge of the lake looking at his reflection. Part of his hair was in a braid off to the side. His soft emerald eyes showed a great deal of sadness and hardship. The boy sat there wondering what he was to do. All of the boy’s friends had gone on and left him was it him, was it something that he did or said he did not understand what she had done. He felt so alone and uneaten about everything. The boy gradually stood up and stared down at his reflection. “I will not give in “he told himself as he turned and walked away. He walked the streets looking around at all of the people as they passed hm. He stopped in front of a small café, he wasn’t sure why. His pale hand moved towards the door on its own” what’s going on” he wondered. He opened the door and walked in. “welcome take a seat” a velvety voice said from the register. The boy took a seat and looked at the menu. “What can I get you today sir” the raven haired boy looked up to see a tall slender man with hazel eyes and dark brown hair. “I’ll have a peach Sunday and coffee” the raven haired boy said handing his menu to the other.” By the way my name is Ricky and I’ll be your waiter “the man said as he walked away. The raven haired boy could not help but watch as the man walked, his curves seemed so perfect. Ricky came back after a while with my order. “Here you go I hope you enjoy “Ricky said to the raven. The raven took the spoon and started to eat “this is delicious” the raven said smiling at the taste of parfait. He continued till he was finished, he then asked for the bill. Rikki went to the cash register and printed off the receipt, he then brought it back and the raven haired boy signed his name “raven van rose”. Rikki took the receipt and walked back to the register. “Please come again soon “he said with a bow. Raven left a tip and his number on the table before leaving. ”I most certainly will be back “he mumbled as he left. Rikki went to collect the tip, when he saw the cellphone number on the napkin near his tip he wasn’t sure how to react. He took the napkin and looked at it. “ he was sort of attractive” he said to himself . He tucked the napkin in his pocket and continued about his day. As evening approached Raven was still wondering about the town looking for something to keep him active. He would occasionally look down at his phone hopping that the man he met earlier had seen his number. Sadly though he had nothing not even a text. For some reason this hurt him a little. He made his way home and once there he went to bed. Rikki’s shift was just ending he was exhausted and in desperate need of sleep. He pulled out the napkin that had been stuffed into his pocket. He hesitated then grabbed his cell phone and punched in the number. The phone rang and rang and rang but no answer. He started to wonder if the number was a fake. Finally Raven answered but it was his voicemail. Rikki decided to leave a message “ hey this is the guy from the café……I was um thinking we could meet up again ..I’ll be in at work tomorrow so come see me ok “ he hung up once he was finished. Later that night Raven woke up to his phone buzzing . he quickly grabbed it and flipped it open, he saw that he had a missed call and a voicemail, he quickly punched in his password and listened to the voice mail. His face quickly became red, his heart thumped in his chest, unsure of what to do he set the phone down on the nightstand and continued to replay the message till he fell asleep. The next day raven got up early and ate his usual breakfast of toast and eggs, he then brushed his teeth and got dressed. He grabbed his phone and checked the time. He realized he had time to walk to the train station without rushing so he did. Rikki sat at the train stop alone bundled up since it was the start of winter. The harsh winds whipped his scarf around as he sat waiting. He occasionally blew on his cold hands to try and worm them. He stopped when he heard the sound of crunching snow , when he looked up Raven was standing in front of him. He was surprised to see raven he couldn’t think of anything to say after all he thought that he wouldn’t see raven again “ah raven it’s nice to see you again.
