The MaiOtaku Project

Before we go any further we need to address that critical issue about it being a virtual reality mmo manga...what relation to the real world does the manga have? Are they all trapped in there? (I feel we should steer away from this to avoid being labeled copy cats) Is there daily life for the characters outside of the game? If so, how does that correlate to the story? Does it take place solely in the game even though nobody is trapped? Is the game interwoven into reality somehow? I personally like the idea of the game being interwoven into reality, perhaps the further they progress into the game the further reality and the game become linked? Like at first certain technologies advance in the direction of the game and after they clear the first event the first faction forms in reality and signs that gods are real start to show up...

I like the idea that for a while it was a regular game, but then they find out if they don't log in and save the game world the real world will end too. That or after they start playing the game, gods invade the virtual world and simultaneously on the real world news the same creatures are appearing in that world and the gamers get to change into their game alter ego in real life.

I like where this is going but wouldn't this just be another MMO manga. Though we've stray albeit completely deviated from the original thought. That being said it's also creative in the Sense we are trying to get make it a collaborative effort. The title is pretty ok But let's leave it open to discussion for awhile.

Yeah, it doesn't HAVE to be a mmo anime. Everything is in alpha.. Then it will go to a beta rough draft then the real thing

Like in the movie X where they would fight in Barriers and if the one who set the barrier died all damage within would happen in reality

Yeah, what if you felt pain from the game in the real world? The mmo, could be set in a world that mirrors the real world exactly.

Kc yours and my ideas could pretty much work together seamlessly, I mean the one where gods invade the real world too and you eventually get to use your gamer ego in real life. And the idea of it mirroring the real world would be cool, but if we're doing that are we going to do near perfect earth, or a fantasy/future-esque earth that has all of the races except for the fallen (until things start merging)

True, SOA doesn't have anything like that! The concept of being able to use your gamer ego In real life totaly makes the two incomparable at that point
