trying to convert atheist to christianity

Aaaaaand....I'll just leave it at that.

I honestly think we should respect their decision to be atheist. I'm not saying you have to agree with their ideals or anything, but just respect them and treat them like you would your friends. I'll even provide an example of what I mean. My friend and I go to a catholic school that prays before every class starts, has a theology class every day, and even some masses on feast days. The catch is he's an atheist; however, he is completely respectful of every christian ideal talked about during the day. He holds his hands together when we pray, says the prayers each time we say it, etc. I even have a Hindu at my school. He read his "bible" (I'm not exactly sure what the Hindu religious book is called)one time and legitimately talked to him about it. The point is a little respect can go a long way. What would've happened if we ever made fun of him or tried to convert him? t probably would've made things bad. That's why I recommend letting them be. I mean, God gave us all Free Will for a reason, right? Although we don't know the reason, it's always best to assume that there is one; however, we cannot understand it since God's way of thinking is completely different than ours.

@OP You cannot convert someone to a religion just like they can't convince you about their belief or points of view Everybody is entitled to have their own opinions and rules to help them live. While I am an atheist, I find the Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth to be very good rules to live by. And before you reply saying that satanism is about blood sacrifices for the devil, please google "LaVeyan Satanism" and read about it on the wiki. It's the original satanism. It's not what your religious parents and elders told you it is. In my opinion, christianity is nothing but rules and stories created to explain everything so that humans won't need to search for answers (limiting curiosity). But most importantly, to keep humans down under a line. Without religion, humans would go primitive and kill each other for survival as there will be no remorse of the afterlife. If there's proof that god doesn't exist, it won't be revealed in this generation due to the low mentality of people. So until people evolve and realize that theft and being evil isn't something to go with, the debate about which religion or belief is the best one will continue.

Let your friends be atheists! It`s their choice, why the hell would you had to convert them to christianity? For "salvation"? I think that are good intentions, but please, respect you atheist friends if you want them to respect your Christianity.

If I were in your shoes I would probably try to make the best example of what being a Christian is and maybe you can influence your friends that way. Don't try to convert them, let them decide what they want to do. You can't control the free will of others. Life doesn't work that way :)

Im a athiest. That being said the absolute most annoying thing about religion is the double standard. I acknowledge not all religions do this. If you want your friends to open their minds for discussion then you must first show a good example.
