Dating Site Advice

I'm here to make friends. So cool your jets dude. So anyone want to be friends cool, other wise just post crap like this dude. Don't need to disrespect others of what they do here.

In general, dating and asking someone out is much easier if you befriend the person you want to date and take your time. Feelings and emotions can't be rushed. Now given for us socially closeted nerds (most of us anyways) mingling can be pretty tough for us. Sooo yeah. There's always also going out and hanging around places that you're interested in, because there's always a big chance of meeting someone there for the obvious reasons.

Considering we live so far apart that our only chances of meeting would be conventions, it's more appropriate to converse with people here, get to know them, hang out at a con, and possibly have a short romance.

I don't think this site was set up well enough for a dating site anyways, One of the thing that most dating sites have nowadays is matching compatibility. I'm pretty sure that the way this site matches is just based on which anime series you've both rated :/

If it had a larger list of animes, and a favorites option, it'd actually improve that "compatibility" by preferences. I myself love intellectual and philosophical dilemma type anime, like Ghost in the Shell and RahXephon, but can't stand schoolgirl anime like K-On! or Haruhi. And when you look at the type of people that are the fans of these shows you see common personality traits. That's kinda what they were shooting for with the current system, it's just not as refined as it could be due to an incomplete listing, multiple listings for the same show (sometimes with variations to the names, such as language, spacing, or accents), and the entire thing being search engine based. But this site was likely created by anime fans in their spare time and not as a serious attempt to profit and start a business.

Uhhh what happened to That guy? He makes this thread, yet does not argue what others post against him. That is interesting.
