Is Sailor Moon returning?

The other day when I was at work, a co-worker of mine told me that at the recent Anime North, a representative of FUNimation claimed that they were planning on redoing the entire Sailor Moon franchise, this time following the manga as well as redubbing the whole thing. Everyone who has seen the show knows it was originally owned by Dic. However, Dic, went out of business, and so far, I have read that it has ceased production (both anime AND manga) in the U.S. and any other english speaking country and nobody has picked up the liscense. As far as I know, FUNimation has not picked up the liscense so if what FUNimation claimed is true, then they can't (legally) remake Sailor Moon. If anyone knows anything about this, feel free to chime in! As far as I'm aware, this is just a rumor. BY THE WAY: To anybody that owns an Xbox360, the first season of Sailor Moon (original Japanese sub) is now on Xbox LIVE. Check it out if you don't believe me.

Yes it's true! I've seen it and it looks amazing! I can't wait to see what they have to cook up for it since I've only been teased with trailers!

How can they do it though? FUNimation has not picked up the liscense so doesn't that mean they can't legally do it?

Is it true the American release of Sailor Moon (way back when) had almost the entirety of the plot gutted from it? I heard all sorts of things were cut out, such as Queen Beryl suffocating the girls at one point. I ask because I've found out the person that told me all of this often lied about things for no reason...
