To clear the misconception: The first time doesn't necessarily hurt during a woman's first. It's all about the preparation for it to make sure both parties are prepared and there is no rushing of the process. Most people believe that the hymen is something that breaks when in reality it is possible to tear during intercourse but it's just another part of the body that is largely misunderstood and believed to be the source of the most pain for a woman during her first time. Again, every case is different but in cases of pain it could be due to the lack of proper lubrication, tightness due to the hymen not being stretched yet or just caused by tension in which case make sure to just be properly lubed and try to relax through things such as foreplay, and lastly there's a case known as vaginismus which is when the vaginal muscles tighten involuntarily and again this can come from a state of mind or physical factor. On another note there are tons of other factors I didn't mention such as the possibilities of cysts and STDS. Anyone who has never been sexually intimate just remember to be safe and do your own research before rushing into an intimate moment like this. Also, I'm sure for the most part the guys here are joking, but you should really take into consideration that just because someone is young and aren't interested in intercourse you shouldn't automatically state that it's just because they're young and that they'll learn to like it. That's pretty messed up to tell someone what they're going to learn to enjoy.

I just have been seeing so many awkward posts on what people perceive the first time is supposed to be like and how sex is supposed to be so it kind of just got really tiring. And, since this seems like a place where most people who are relatively new to such experiences it might help.
