Medicated Deal Breaker?

@Nate: Normal people are more frightening then anything! Serial murders are always due to the average joe! Down with the norms! xD @Kouta: I totally get it. Bi polar is all genetics. And crazy is in my family, I got lucky it wasn't something more dangerous. Eh. I always take my pills. I don't know what I'm like without them. Which is kinda of sad, but I don't mind much. I wish I had patience! @Arc: She sounds crazy...and that's coming from a fellow nut case xD

Well heres the thing normality is pointless to begin with to even try to define what we classify as normal then utilize it as the right way to be is rather complicated putting it lightly. Either way you look at it normal people are going to dislike those who do not fit into their group and you can be rest assured that we will do the same because lets look at ourselves. I have seen so many gamers hate on sports its not even funny. The thing we need to learn is to both accept each others interest and learn from them if we wish. On the matter though to reinstate my view on if people with your condition should date. There may be people who would say that you are spreading the mental illness that you have through the family but I disagree with this line of thinking. 26.2% of the american population suffers from a mental illness. Mental illness is not so easy to avoid so I say let people who have them find somebody.

That was very informative! Spreading it, has actually crossed my mind. I don't want kids because there is a high chance they will get the gene. I get people hating on each other, but I think it's all defensive. We stay on our own groups..which is sad, but it's the way it's always been

I myself have suffered from major depression for a very long time. I have had so many different sorts of treatments for it including but not limited to medication. So for me, I understand and it would not bother me to be have any sort of relationship with someone who takes medication. I would, however become concerned if they just decided to not take it. Also, like Cecil said, I would probably want to know more about my SO's condition and how I could make it easier on them. Because I have my own condition, it'd help if they could understand me as well, and I'd appreciate that myself.

Doesn't bother me at all, a majority of my friends are bipolar ontop of other conditions. I don't like the whole idea of dismissing a person as possible friend/significant other over things such as this. Just gonna leave it like that instead of typing out an essay.
