Nekocon and/or Otakon

I don't know the odds of me showing up at Otakon since it's in Maryland and I don't want to make that trip on my own... but what are the odds of anyone showing up at Nekocon this year? I live in Hampton and would love to hang out with people so that I'll actually know people when I go this time around xD.
