So does anyone on here actually use the "dating" aspect?

I joined for the dating aspect, but I've had absolutely no luck so far. Hell, I haven't even really found people to talk to either. I might just close my account soon since this doesn't seem to be going anywhere whatsoever.

I'm sure a lot of people try to use it as such and I'm sure some lucky people have had some success, but I think for the majority of people it just ends up being another social site.

The original intention I joined was not for a romantic relationship as I'm already engaged. I came to try and actually make some real friends. I'm the only Otaku out of anyone I know and most people don't take me seriously when it comes to anime and the like. Because of that, I joined MaiOtaku in hopes to try and find some actual real otaku friends. Thus far, its very hit and miss.

eh, I'm just here because of the fact that i can start talking about anime without having to explain it. (I have a lack of otaku friends... -__-)
