Dating someone with a child/children

I can understand your views on not wanting to date a single parent. After reading some of the posts, I find myself lucky and blessed to have the support system of my family. I'm able to go out on dates, but, choose not to (I'm extremely shy), I NEVER introduce someone to my son that I've just started seeing and my ex isn't a psycho, just an ass hole lol.

You don't seem shy here :) Your son us a big part of your life, and I can understand why you wouldn't want to have them met him at first. Gotta get to know the guy and build trust before anything. You don't want him to end up getting hurt :)

My 4-legged son, Vash, is my world. He has better health care than I do, I cook for him myself, he has his own bedroom. Yeah, I spoil my son, He is one of 3 that I put in front of me. If there's a girl that wants to date me, she's has to understand that Vash is my son and I treat him as such. If they don't like it, they can kick rocks.

I'm not sure wither I would date someone with a child or not, but it's something that I'd really have to seriously think about. Mainly because it's really two relationships at once so there's more to consider than when it's just two unattached people ya know? I feel like that situation especially is one that's not to be entered lightly.

I would not date anyone with a child because I'm not mature enough yet to take care of them, simply put. Also, I plan on having at least 1 kid of my own, and I've already got several names picked out so... :P

To be fully honest, although this may be very shallow of me, I don't think I could date someone with a child because it's far too much commitment. I don't want anything "tying me down" because I'm only 19 and there's things I want to do, and having a child to worry about is a lot to take on.

See, those answers I can respect. If you feel like you're not ready or mature enough for a child, then obviously don't do it. What I don't like I'd when people who are mature enough look at single mothers like they have excess baggage.

I've done it before, I would do it again. Never met her child tho.
